Check steering linkage. Check boots for damage and leaking grease. Check fluid lines for damage and leaks.] SUSPENSION COMPONENTS – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment – [Check bolts for tightness. Check condition of ball joint boots for deterioration and damage.] DRIVESHAFT/PROPELLER SHAFT DUST BOOTS – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment – [Check boots for cracks and boot bands for tightness.] BRAKE HOSES & LINES – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment – [Check the master cylinder and ABS/VSA modulator-control unit for damage and leakage.] ENGINE COOLANT – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment – [Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir. Make sure it is between the MAX mark and the MIN mark. If the coolant level in the coolant reservoir is at or below the MIN mark, add coolant to bring it up to the MAX mark, then inspect the cooling system for leaks.] AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment MANUAL TRANSAXLE FLUID – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment – [Raise the vehicle on a lift. Remove the filler plug and the sealing washer, check the condition of the MTF, and make sure it is at the proper level.] CLUTCH FLUID – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment POWER STEERING FLUID – INSPECT – w/o Valve Adjustment w/Valve Adjustment – [Check the reservoir at regular intervals, and add the recommended fluid as necessary. Always use Honda Power Steering Fluid. Using any other type of power steering fluid or automatic transmission fluid can cause increased wear, fluid leaks, and poor steering in cold weather. NOTE: If the fluid is contaminated, the screen in the reservoir may be partially blocked. Inspect the reservoir screen for any debris.
